President Obama Meets with Civil Rights Activists to Discuss the Shelby vs Holder Case

Obama meeting with activists.jpg

During your retirement, you see on the news that President Obama is discussing the Shelby vs Holder case outcome with a Civil Rights Activist group in 2013. Many people were concerned of the outcome and what that would mean for minority groups across America. Although President Obama had no influence on the outcome of the Shelby County vs Holder case, he still wanted to ensure that minority groups were able to receive the civil and voting rights that they deserved moving forward. As a President who fit into the minority himself, he continued to meet with Civil Rights groups to discuss what he was able to do for them to ensure that their voting rights stayed intact. Although this meeting did not result in the reinstating of the Voting Rights Act, the civil rights group was still able to speak with the President and express their concerns due to the Shelby county vs Holder Act, continuing their fight for voting rights. You have had a long road as a government official! It's time to see where you ended up!
